Watch Video and Events:
Intelligent Search
Intelligent Search is Envysion’s unified suite of search tools designed to help you find specific events quickly and efficiently. Intelligent Search offers two tools—Motion Search and Object Search—to pinpoint activity across your site and streamline your investigations.
Motion Search
- Identify general activity within a specific area of a camera’s field of view
- Ideal for monitoring areas where any movement is a notable event, such as a back office, stockroom, or an entrance after hours
- Available on all cameras
Object Search
- Adds a layer of precision by filtering specifically for People or Vehicles
- Isolate specific interactions in busy areas. For example, in a drive-thru lane, you can filter for “People” to quickly find footage of staff members working in the lanes, even while vehicles are present
- Available on specific cameras based on hardware capabilities
Access Intelligent Search
Select your desired thumbnail. In your camera list, cameras enabled for Object Search are marked with an icon in the top right corner of the thumbnail. Click the Play button on the thumbnail you want to investigate.

Once you see your video, click the Intelligent Search icon in the bottom right of your screen.

When the modal opens, choose either Object Search or Motion Search.
- Select the time and date of the footage you want to search.
- Select your area of interest, either by highlighting individual cells on the grid, or clicking ‘Select all’. You can select cells anywhere in the video display. They do not need to be connected.
- If you are in the Object Search tab, select your object type(s), such as People, Car and Truck
- Click search

The orange on the timeline shows all results found.

Video playback will jump gaps and go to the next segment of video with results.

Managing Object Search Enabled Cameras
Object Search is available on a specific number of channels per site, based on your hardware’s capabilities. While we have pre-enabled a set number of cameras for you, you have the flexibility to swap which cameras use this feature to best fit your operational needs. Note that Object Search history is not retroactive. Searching for people and vehicles will only be available for footage recorded from the moment the feature is enabled on that specific camera moving forward.
Prerequisites
- EnVR Capability: The user must have EnVR capability to be able to perform those changes.
- Camera Limit: You must stay within the total number of enabled cameras allowed for your site. If you wish to enable a new camera, you may need to disable Object Search on a different one first to stay within hardware limitations. The number of cameras you can enable for Object Search depends on your specific EnVR model.
- EnVR 13th Generation – Performance model: 12 cameras maximum
- EnVR 13th Generation – Enhanced model: 12 cameras maximum
- EnVR 13th Generation – Standard model: 8 cameras maximum
- EnVR 10th Generation – Performance model: 10 cameras maximum
- EnVR 10th Generation – Standard model: 5 cameras maximum
- EnVR 8th Generation and lower: Not available.
