Intelligent Search
Intelligent Search is a video search tool that enables users to quickly find what they’re looking for when viewing video. Motion Search is a capability within Intelligent Search that allows users to search for motion across hours of video to pinpoint activity.
How to use Motion Search
To start looking for motion, select your desired thumbnail. Once you see your video, click the Intelligent Search icon in the bottom right of your screen.

When the modal opens, select the time and date of the footage you are wanting to search. Select your area of interest, either by highlighting individual cells on the grid, or clicking ‘Select all’.

Note that you can select cells anywhere in the video display. They do not need to be connected. Click search.

The orange on the timeline shows all motion found.

Video playback will jump gaps and go to the next segment of video with motion.

While in Motion Search you can view full screen…

… take a snapshot…

save a clip…

and copy a link.

You can also change the playback rate…

step back or forward frame by frame…

pause…

and jump back 15 seconds at a time.

Motion search is retained even if you switch cameras while in Motion search mode.

To exit motion search, select “exit” in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
